Fatal Van Rollover Claims Life of 33-year-old Daniel Soriano in Carver County, Minnesota

Carver County, Minnesota – An incident unfolded in Carver County on Monday morning, resulting in the loss of a man’s life in a van rollover accident. The Minnesota State Patrol has provided preliminary details regarding this accident.

On Monday, at approximately 6:38 a.m., authorities responded to a report of a van rollover crash on Highway 212 in Dahlgren Township. According to the crash report, a Chevrolet Express van was traveling westbound on Highway 212 when it lost control and rolled into the center median near Mellgren Lane.

The driver of the van, identified as 33-year-old Daniel Soriano of New Germany, suffered fatal injuries. Mr. Soriano was partially ejected from the vehicle. The crash report stated that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

The Seatbelt in The Van Needs to Be Inspected to Determine If it Failed During the Rollover Sequence

This case needs to be investigated. Our law firm helps people injured and killed in rollover accidents when a vehicle does not provide adequate protection. A vehicle that does not provide adequate protection is defective. Manufacturers are responsible for the deaths and injuries suffered by motorists caused by defects in a vehicle. Common auto defects in rollover accidents include seatbelts that fail to properly restrain the occupants and/or roofs that crash into the occupant’s survival space.

It is concerning that Mr. Soriano was partially ejected. This may indicate that the seatbelt failed to stay latched during the rollover sequence. We have handled many cases like this, where authorities believe the occupant was unrestrained, but in reality, the seatbelt failed during the rollover crash.

If a detailed investigation reveals the seatbelt was defective in this case, the Soriano family deserves answers from the manufacturer.
