Ammons Law Firm Files Lawsuit Against the Enterprise Logistics Trucking Company for Negligence in Fatal Truck Accident


Houston, Texas — The Ammons Law Firm has filed legal action against Enterprise Logistics, LLC on behalf of a mother and father who lost their son in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on US-290. The lawsuit, filed in the Harris County District Court, 270th Judicial District, involves a crash involving a 2018 Peterbilt tractor-trailer operated by Enterprise Logistics and a Lexus passenger vehicle.

According to the lawsuit, the driver of the semi-truck pulled into the intersection of US-290 in preparation for making a left-hand turn, leaving the trailer extending into the moving lanes of traffic. Tragically, a young man, whose right of way was obstructed, collided with the trailer.

The lawsuit contends that the trucker was negligent when he failed to yield the right-of-way and maintain a proper lookout for oncoming motorists. The accident occurred in hours of darkness, limiting the trailer’s visibility. Furthermore, the plaintiffs assert that Enterprise Logistics is vicariously liable under respondent superior for the negligent actions of its driver, carried out in the course and scope of his employment.

In the wake of this devastating accident, the family of the deceased is seeking damages exceeding one million dollars. These damages encompass past and future loss of companionship, past and future mental anguish, as well as punitive damages.
