AirMed1 Dispatched to a Rollover Crash in the 14000 block of Susan Peak Rd. near Wall, Texas

San Angelo, TX–  One person suffered serious injuries after a one-vehicle rollover accident. The incident happened Monday morning on Susan Peak Rd.

According to reports, an SUV rolled over and landed on its roof, with the driver trapped inside. Emergency responders found the driver suspended by his seatbelt.

Emergency medical personnel transported the driver to the hospital by AirMed 1.

No further information has been released.

Vehicle defects sometimes cause rollover crash injuries

When most people learn of someone getting hurt in a rollover crash, they often assume the crash was a terrible accident with no legal recourse. However, if you think about it, why should someone who is wearing their seatbelt suffer serious injuries or death in a rollover crash? Manufacturers know rollover accidents will happen and do happen and that they can result in serious harm. As such, manufacturers should be required to produce vehicles that can protect us.

Fortunately, the law agrees, and when a manufacturer produces a defective vehicle that causes or contributes to the injuries suffered in a rollover crash, it can be held responsible for the resulting harm and losses.

Common SUV defects include seatbelts that fail to restrain, non-deploying airbags, and roofs prone to collapse upon impact. Should the investigation uncover any shortcomings in these safety features, the manufacturer may be obligated to compensate the affected individual for their medical expenses, pain and suffering, and loss of wages.
