Edith McKee Killed in an Accident with a Semi-truck on Interstate 44 Near Sullivan, Missouri  

Sullivan, MO – A woman lost her life when a semi-truck collided with her vehicle. The incident took place on I-44 near Sullivan on Wednesday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2016 Kenworth Conventional semi-truck traveling westbound veered into the median, penetrated the cable barrier, and crossed into the eastbound lane, colliding with the right side of a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse. Both vehicles slid off the road and caught fire.

The driver of the SUV, Edith McKee, 59, of Sullivan, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries.
