One Person Killed and Two Others Suffered Critical Injuries in a Multi-vehicle Accident Involving a Semi-truck on I-80/94 in Lake County, Indiana

Lake County, Indiana – One person died, and two others suffered critical injuries in a multi-vehicle collision. The incident happened at the Columbia Avenue overpass interstate, between Calumet Avenue and Indianapolis Boulevard.

According to reports, traffic began to slow down when a semi-truck traveling at a high speed rear-ended a Kia Sorento SUV. The collision caused the Kia to propel underneath the semi-truck trailer in front of the vehicle.

A passenger in the Kia died, while the driver and another passenger sustained critical injuries.
