Three Workers Injured in a Flash Fire at Kinder Morgan Storage Facility in Galena Park, Texas

Galena Park, TX — Three people suffered injuries in a flash fire at a Kinder Morgan storage facility in Galena Park. The incident happened on Clinton Road, between Fidelity Street and Federal Road.

According to the fire marshal’s reports, the contract workers were doing maintenance work near one of the rail racks when the fire broke out. Rail racks utilize small-diameter pipelines to facilitate the movement of products to loading areas for transfer into rail cars.

Emergency personnel transported the three individuals to area hospitals. Reportedly, the workers sustained burns but were conscious.
