Pedestrian Alexander Rodriguez Gonzalez Dies After Being Struck by Commercial Vehicle

Bucklin, Missouri – Alexander Rodriguez Gonzalez lost his life after being struck by a MoDOT truck. The incident took place on Highway 36 at 3:19 a.m.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2016 Freightliner lost control on an ice-covered road and collided with a 2019 International SA525 MoDOT truck.

Following the initial collision, the MoDOT truck veered out of control, striking Alexander Rodriguez Gonzalez, a pedestrian, and the trailer of a stationary 2024 Freightliner.

Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the involved trucks sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital.

Trucks Should Not Be on Snowy Roads When Unsafe

This tragic incident raises questions about the safety measures and responsibilities of all parties involved.
