One Person is Dead, and a Dozen People Injured in a Bus Rollover Accident on the Adirondack Northway in Lake George, New York


LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. — One person was killed and 12 others injured in a bus rollover crash on an upstate New York highway on Friday afternoon.

The bus was en route from Montreal, Canada, heading south on the Adirondack Northway and was carrying 23 passengers.

The bus involved in the crash displayed the logo of FlixBus, which clarified that another company, Skyway Coach Lines, operated the bus on its behalf.

No other details have been released.

Thoughts on fatal bus accidents

An investigation needs to take place to determine what caused this crash. Was it tire failure? Driver error? A mechanical Issue? Trained professionals will need to examine the accident site and gather all the details to help bring answers to the family.

Commercial bus companies have a tremendous duty to drive safely to ensure innocent passengers are protected. It appears that did not happen here. Those suffering deserve answers.
