Semi-truck Accident Injures Three People on the Kansas Turnpike in Wichita, Kansas


Wichita, Kansas – Three people suffered injuries in a three-vehicle collision involving a semi-trailer on Saturday on the Kansas Turnpike.

The incident unfolded when a truck and SUV stopped in the right traffic lane due to an earlier accident. A semi-truck traveling north collided with the stationary truck, causing it to crash into the SUV. The semi-trailer struck the median barrier wall while the SUV came to a stop against the right side of the semi’s axles. The truck ended up in the ditch.

The pickup truck driver, their passenger, and the SUV driver sustained injuries.

No further details have been provided.

Thoughts on multi-vehicle collisions

According to the news release, this was a preventable crash that left multiple people injured. Those affected deserve to know why the truck driver failed to stop for traffic. The injured deserve answers and justice for the injuries and suffering they have experienced.
