Tire Blowout Leads to Truck Driver’s Death on Interstate 74 at Dew Road in Robeson County, North Carolina

Robeson County, North Carolina – A semi-truck driver died when a tire blowout caused them to lose control of their truck. The incident took place on Interstate 74 at Dew Road in Robeson County, North Carolina.

According to reports, the truck driver lost control of the truck, veered off the right side of the road, and collided with multiple small trees before plowing through a wire fence and stopping in a field.

Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Semi-trucks and dangerous tire blowouts

When a steer axle on a semi-truck fails, it may be the tire was defective, and the manufacturer of the tire is responsible for the crash.

We are seeing a growing trend in steer axle tires failing due to manufacturing defects. These defective tires hit the roadways straight out of the manufacturer’s hands, with no one suspecting they were damaged and defective. These deadly tires cause catastrophic accidents that lead to severe injuries and fatalities. When manufacturers cause serious harm, they are legally liable to answer and account for their faulty products.

This accident needs to be investigated by trained tire defect attorneys who have handled this type of crash before. They are complicated cases, and the tire manufacturer will do everything it can to avoid liability. However, we are seeing more and more of these and are very concerned that several manufacturers are to blame.

May the surviving family receive the answers and justice they deserve.
