Bradley Helin Killed in a Semi-truck Collision on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County, Minnesota


Freeborn County, Minn. – A man died in a collision with a semi-truck on Interstate 90. The incident happened Thursday shortly after 8 pm.

According to reports, a Chevy Silverado and a semi-truck both heading westbound collided.

Bradley Duane Helin, the pickup truck driver, died on the scene.

The semi-truck overturned onto its side, with the driver sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

No further details have been provided.

Thoughts on fatal semi-truck accidents

There are not a lot of facts about what happened in this crash. And I do not want to point blame on the truck driver if none is due. However, the reports indicate that the roads were icy at the time of the crash and I cannot help wondering why the truck was on the road in the first place.

An investigation is needed to determine exactly why this crash happened and what actions could have been taken to prevent it. If any wrongdoing is discovered, may the surviving family receive the answers and justice they deserve.
