FedEx Worker Hospitalized After injury at T.F. Green Airport Facility in Warwick, Rhode Island


Warwick, R.I. —  A woman was hospitalized after suffering injuries at her workplace. The incident happened at the FedEx facility located at T.F. Green Airport.

No other details have been released.

Thoughts on workplace accidents

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, there were 2.3 million nonfatal workplace injuries in 2022, a 4.5 percent increase from 2021. These numbers are unacceptable and mean not enough is being done to protect workers.

The worker here deserves answers, compensation, and justice for any wrongdoing that may have contributed to his injuries. Employers, especially large corporate ones like Fed-Ex, cannot create unsafe work environments and then blame employees when an accident occurs.

This incident will need to be investigated and if any wrongdoing is uncovered, those responsible for the injuries suffered here need to be held accountable.
