Uber Driver Killed After Colliding with Stopped Semi-truck on I-45 in Willis, Texas


Willis, Texas — In the early morning hours, on Interstate 45, an Uber driver collided with an 18-wheeler loaded with steel.

The incident unfolded when an 18-wheeler was traveling north, and suddenly, the truck driver felt a sensation akin to a flat tire and pulled over. As he exited the vehicle and began to inspect the situation, he saw flashing lights and discovered a car embedded in the rear of his trailer. He immediately contacted emergency services.

The Uber driver was declared deceased at the scene. The driver was returning home from transporting a fare from the rodeo to Conroe.

The debris field from the initial impact stretched nearly half a mile.

Thoughts on semi-truck crashes

The family of the deceased deserves answers. They deserve to know whether or not this accident could have been prevented and deserve justice if wrongdoing on the part of the trucker caused the death of their loved one.
