The Ammons Law Firm Files Lawsuit for Woman Injured In Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Semi-Truck Crash

Houston, TX – The Ammons Law Firm filed a lawsuit against Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, Inc. and/or CRH Americas, the trucking company, following a truck crash that left a woman with severe injuries. The lawsuit, filed in Harris County, Texas, aims to hold Oldcastle accountable for its role in the preventable three-car collision.

According to the lawsuit, a 2019 Freightliner semi-truck owned by Oldcastle was traveling inbound on U.S. Highway 290 in Harris County, Texas. The truck made an unsafe lane change into the path of the woman’s 2017 Toyota Camry, resulting in substantial damage to her vehicle and causing it to spin out of control, ultimately colliding with another vehicle. The Texas Peace Officer’s Crash Report highlighted the truck’s failure to drive in a single lane and its inattentive driving as alleged causes of the crash.

The lawsuit alleges independent negligence on the part of Oldcastle for its failure to act as reasonably prudent businesses would have under similar circumstances. This includes negligence in hiring, supervising, training, and retaining employees responsible for operating its commercial vehicles.
