Schreiber Foods Plant Worker Killed After Entrapment in a Machine in Carthage, Missouri

Carthage, Missouri — Reports of a worker “entrapped in a machine, needing extrication” at 127 Claxton Ave prompted an emergency response from Carthage Police, Carthage Fire, and MERCY AMB at Schreiber Foods. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon.

According to emergency personnel, an adult male was found inside a protected area on the floor, unconscious, unresponsive, with shallow breathing and a faint pulse.

Despite life-saving procedures by emergency responders, the worker was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the deceased worker has not been disclosed at this time.
